Why do people get depressed during winter

People get depressed during winter because of the lack of sunlight that shines in a day, during the winter months we spend most of our time indoors playing video games or working on projects. What we really should be doing is to take the time to enjoy the daylight we have even if it has to be 7 am, in the morning or -20c go out and have a walk around the block, it will benefit you, especially if you do it everyday.
